Thursday October 19 marked an important step in the DIGITAQ project, with the launch of two training visits for Algerian partners, organized by the Université Lumière Lyon 2 and the University of Liège.
The training in Lyon took place from October 19 to 21, 2023 and 25 colleagues from the 9 partner universities participated in the 3 days of training in person or by videoconference.
The training was opened by the Vice-President in charge of international relations and the Board of Directors of the Université Lumière Lyon 2, then with a presentation of the IUT Lumière Lyon 2 by the Director, Ms. Claudine Gay.
Ms. Zouina HADRI, Cultural Affairs Officer at the Consulate General of Algeria in Lyon also participated in this launch, thus demonstrating the consulate’s interest in cooperation activities between French and Algerian institutions.
The training mainly focused on the normative framework, the issue of process modeling and the digitalization of processes. Themes related to information systems and quality assurance were also addressed with a focus on the presentation of the mapping of the different processes at IUT Lumière Lyon 2.
During the evaluation session, participants were then invited to give their opinions on the form and content of the training.
The training course for the Algerian partners then continued at the University of Liège from October 23 to 25, 2023.
The good practices of the University of Liège and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in terms of quality assurance were presented, in particular those put in place for the university’s teaching mission. ULiège has, in fact, obtained recognition from its quality agency (AEQES) for the staying power of its system, allowing it to no longer depend on the latter for the evaluation of its programs. This involved the establishment of a triple guarantee system introducing its own evaluation method for each level.
Training continued on indicators and dashboards. The objective was essentially to upgrade the theoretical knowledge of the participants on these subjects.
The missions and good practices in terms of data collection and definition of indicators and dashboards were also presented by colleagues from the Radius unit (Collection and Analysis of Strategic Utility Data) of the university:
- the definition and monitoring of key indicators in the areas of teaching, research, finance, human resources, real estate, etc. ;
- the creation and updating of specific dashboards for each type of user;
- coordination of the construction of the institutional data warehouse with the support of the IT department.
Part of the training was addressed to the work of defining and collecting indicators linked to sustainable development and meeting the requirements of the SDGs and to the presentation of the @Paysage project.
This project is fully in line with the objective of administrative simplification, as a computerized, centralized and secure platform.
The training week alternated theoretical reflections and practical activities, and was nourished by fruitful exchanges between the participants.
Thus, from the distribution of work between partners to define the indicators that the DIGITAQ platform will implement, each partner thus concluded the training by presenting the draft of the system of indicators to be put in place to comply with the Standard National Quality Assurance in Higher Education (RNAQES).
The training visits will conclude with a third week of training which will be organized by the Nova University of Lisbon and will focus on information systems. Subsequently and in the logic of cascade training, the trained colleagues will in turn provide training on a local scale within their university.
