As part of the DIGITAQ project, the first local training session was successfully held on 6 May 2024.

With the presence of 82 participants, including 42 master’s and doctoral students as well as 40 recently recruited teachers, this day offered a complete immersion in the exciting field of Sustainable Development at the University of Science and Technology of Oran Mohamed Boudiaf (USTO-MB).

Under the leadership of Mrs. Latifa DEKHICI, the participants explored a captivating range of themes, from the deep meaning of Sustainable Development to its practical application within our institution.

Over the course of the day, we explored together:

  • The Foundations of Sustainable Development: What does it really mean and why does it matter so much?
  • The University and its responsibility: How can we integrate the principles of Sustainable Development into all aspects of our operation?
  • Innovative initiatives: Discover inspiring examples of good practices and cutting-edge research in the field of Sustainable Development.
  • Engage the community: How can we effectively raise awareness and involve our students, staff and external partners in this important cause?
  • Future Opportunities: Explore exciting job and career prospects in the field of Sustainable Development.

Beyond the formal presentation, this day was marked by dynamic exchanges and debates, where each voice was considered and appreciated.

The result? A renewed commitment to building a more sustainable and inclusive future for all. We are proud to see that many participants expressed their intention to continue their journey in the field of Sustainable Development, whether through innovative research projects, inspiring community initiatives or practical internships. This is tangible proof of the positive impact that this day had on the participants and on the university as a whole.
